Who are the Charm People?
Founded on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia in 2007. The Charm People started by designing bracelets for family and friends. We have now developed our Essentia Beads brand to enable us to offer our beautiful products to everyone. We source the best resources globally available to bring you quality, modern jewellery at a great price. We hope you become as passionate as we are about Essentia Beads.
What are Essentia beads?
Essentia beads is our brand of beautiful bracelets, necklaces and silver and glass beads. Giving a modern twist to the traditional charm bracelet. Our beads enable women the chance to create their own style and wear their own passions and memories. For example: a palm tree to remember an exotic holiday, a treble clef for a musician. Beads are fully inter-changeable and so your bracelet or necklace can be adapted to match your mood and any outfit! Essentia bracelets and necklaces can be added to at any time, which make our beads a great gift. Our beads last forever so they can be passed through the generations.
What does Essentia mean?
Essentia means spirit, soul and individuality. Essentia Beads embrace this, giving you a beautiful way to express your individual character and signify special moments or passions you may have.
How do the bracelets and necklaces work?
Design your style by selecting a bracelet or necklace chain, then have a colour scheme in mind when looking for the beads to go on it. We recommend that you have a look through each of our categories and choose a variety of silver beads, glass beads and stone beads to create the most eye catching look. You may also want to add your initial and your birthstone. It's up to you whether you have more silver beads or more glass beads but as a guide about half of you total beads should be glass. If you choose a bracelet you don't want to fill it in one go as you will want to add to it as your memories unfold. When you are happy with your selections you just need to order a spacer bead if you are purchasing a bracelet (See Silver Bracelets, Necklaces and Spacers) to put on the end - this stops your beads falling off. You may decide to order a few of these to control bead movement throughout the bracelet. Our bracelets and necklaces are 3mm in diameter and so can be inter-changed with other brands which carry beads to fit this size.
How do I know which size bracelet to buy?
Your bracelet size should be decided by measuring your wrist at its widest part and by then adding on about 1.5cm (to allow room for the beads). Of course it is personal preference and you may want to wear you bracelet looser.
What are the beads made of?
All Essentia bracelets and beads are made of solid Sterling 925 Silver and all Glass Beads have a Sterling 925 Silver core which run right through the bead.
What is Sterling 925 Silver?
A mixture of 92.5% pure Silver and 7.5% Copper. This small percentage of Copper is what gives this beautiful metal it's strength and hardness to be able to be made into Jewellery. 92.5% pure silver (925 parts per thousand) is the International industry standard.
Is there a guarantee on your product?
Yes. The Charm People will replace any faulty product, the item must be returned to us with a copy of the original order. Please see our Terms and Conditions.
How do I clean my jewellery?
The silver is treated to resist tarnishing, but sometimes it needs a quick touch-up. To do so, we recommend using either a silver polishing cloth. Do not use liquid silver polish as it removes the oxidisation off the beads and bracelets. Additionally, chemicals such as chlorine from hot tubs will change the make-up and look of the silver, so use your best judgement when wearing your jewellery.
